Pre-Order: The Decadent Tarot- Dark Botanical

As a lifelong admirer of the Art Nouveau period, and Aubrey Beardsley in particular, I felt called to take on the challenge of aligning his illustrations with the archetypes of the tarot. Beardsley’s career was tragically brief, his body of work spans only six years, which made the process both demanding and inspiring. Most of his illustrations survive through late 1800s printed books, often preserved only as poor-quality scans. After selecting an image, I would carefully cut it away from its background and begin the process of digital restoration. Many of the original lines were faint or blurred, requiring me to either clean them or completely redraw sections to honor Beardsley’s intent. Artwork by Aubrey Beardsley, carefully restored, refined, and digitally composed by the artist. No AI-generated imagery is used.

The deck is created in the tradition of the Rider Waite Smith. Each copy of The Decadent Tarot is presented in a upright, hard two-part box designed for both beauty and durability. The cards are printed on 350gsm stock with a smooth UV matte finish, giving them a refined hand-feel and lasting strength. Edges are finished in either elegant gilding or a striking matte black (depending on the deck), adding the final touch of decadence to the experience. Additionally, a booklet with card interpretations is included with the deck.

This deck is expected to ship before the end of March.

This is a very limited run of this deck, only 300 Dark Botanical decks were printed, and it is considered a collectors edition.
